Apex Forms provides simple yet powerful configurable forms that work great with IBM Business Automation Workflow (BAW - formerly IBM Business Process Manager). In order for Apex Forms to work with BAW, BAW needs to be configured to allow the forms engine to run.
Configuring IBM BAW
There are three steps that are needed to configure Apex Forms to run in a BAW process flow
1.) Include the Apex Forms toolkit in your process flow
In BAW open your process flow and in the menu on the left edge. Click on the plus sign icon to add a new toolkit to your application, and select the Apex Forms Toolkit.
2.) Set the Default View Template for Inline tasks
After opening your process flow diagram, click on the Views tab and then click on the Default View Template under Inline Tasks. On the right side of the screen, click the Select... button to set the View Template and select the template named 'Apex Forms Inline Task Template'
3.) Set the apexFormsApiKey
The first time you run the forms design tool on your application, it will display a dialog box stating that you need to set this apexFormsApiKey to a specific value.
Just go into your process application and click on the Environment Variables tab to add the key and value.
Once that is done, you can select your application from the forms designer and start generating your forms.
